NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Memphis will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in Memphis City Hall at 125 W. Jefferson, Memphis, Missouri. The purpose of the hearing is to give citizens an opportunity to comment on a proposed increase in sewer rates which would become effective January 1, 2018. The proposal would increase the minimum rate by $5.95 and increase the usage rate by $.165 per hundred gallons.

The rate increase is necessary to meet the annual operating and maintenance costs of the sewer system, including replacement and debt payments associated with bonds to finance upgrades to the sewer system.
