About Memphis, Missouri

Memphis has been here since 1843 and has become a self-sustaining small town with lots to do.

Town hall building with brick tower, sign that reads 'City Hall,' and trees in front, during daytime.

You’ll find Lake Show Me for fishing and camping, museums celebrating local legends like Ella Ewing (the world’s tallest woman), parks with disc golf and hiking trails, a shooting range, a century-old Pepsi bottling plant (still in operation!) and local spots like Keith’s Cafe and the old-fashioned soda counter at the pharmacy.

But what really defines Memphis is the people. This is a place where community shows up, families feel safe, and there’s always more happening than you’d expect from a small town.
